COACHES CORNER
Our volunteer coaches are what set us apart. Each volunteer understands that we are greater than the sum of our parts. This means our Head Coaches manage their individual teams and work together across divisions to foster a positive environment for players to learn, develop and have healthy competition.

Coach Responsibilities
Head Coaches are the primary point of contact for their designated team. They are responsible for:
-
Introducing their team staff to the parents
-
Effectively communicating with parents/players, umpires, and league
-
Providing team members with updates for league events
-
Supporting league fundraisers, donations, and sponsorships; instead of individual or team level funding
-
Creating/implementing practice and game plans
-
Maintaining player safety and development
-
Overseeing parent/player/coach conduct.
-
Enforcing the 24-hour rule before discussing a game, situation, or concern with players, parents or league members.
_______________

Positive coaching fosters resilience;
encouraging players to develop
a growth mindset, which enables them to approach challenges with determination.
_______________

Everyone associated with our organization is asked to provide a “league-first” approach to all aspects of participation. Game play should be educational, respectful and positive between coaches, players, officials, and spectators. If there is a discrepancy, we ask that coaches work together using the Addendum and rules to provide an outcome that is in the best interest of the League.
Safety First
Concussion training helps foster a culture of safety, where players feel comfortable reporting symptoms and are discouraged from “playing through” a potential concussion.
All coaches are asked to complete concussion training and to recertify annually.
Please follow the link to set up an account and take the online course. You will add your certification to your Coach Registration as confirmation.
